Good Guesser

Today I had my 3rd big test at school. MAN! I didn't know any of the answers hardly. I just knew I had flunked. Evidently I'm a good guesser, hence the blog title. I PASSED!!! Now, one more unit test, another test based on state board stuff, and the final!! YEAH!!! Almost done with this semester! But then next semester! UGH! Advanced med/surg. I can hardly wait (dripping sarcasm). I also got my clinical evaluation the other day. I was so embarrassed. She told me that I need to lose my lack of self confidence and be a leader to the other students. Yeah, right!

Tomorrow we start on the last unit of this semester. I still have 10 pages of reading to do. But I need a break, so here I am. I'm trying to get used to going to bed earlier. Last night I went to bed at 10pm and I was still awake at 12:30. I need a little helper, I think. But I don't like taking drugs so maybe I'll just tough it out. What did I ever see in drugs, anyway?

A lady at my church has found out her cancer is back. She had breast cancer, and thought she had beat it. Now she has 6 lesions on her brain and 2 in her chest, probably lung. Her name is Florence. Please lift her and her husband David up in prayer. She has a long road ahead of her and much suffering, I'm afraid. They will be married 50 years next month and were planning a wedding. David said he always wanted to see his bride walking down the aisle. I hope he still can, but she's already pretty sick from the treatment and her hair is thinning. So I don't know if she will be able to do it or not. I do know that I will be there if they do.

Guess I'd better get back to reading now. Please remember to pray for Florence.

Good Things

YIPPEE!!! I got my first VA check for this semester with back pay on it yesterday and then today I got the one for October. After I pay all that on the tv, I'll just owe less than $300 on it!! God knows when we need stuff. (Like I really needed that tv. The only time I get to watch it is if Doug's gone or in bed.) Football looks real good on it. The colors are sharper and the picture clearer, other than that, it's just like a regular tv. Oh well, all I can say is it had better last a LONG TIME!
I have passed the first 2 tests this semester. I have another test next week, then just one more unit test, then the final. Wow! Time is flying! Won't be long till I can sign my name with initials after it besides LPN. Can't wait! First thing I'm gonna do is fix up Mama's trailer. She deserves a nice place to live instead of the dump I've got her in now. I wish I could build her a house. But I'll fix her place up and hope she's happy with it.
